A person's wealth is often a measured by his success. People who have achieved incredible wealth in this world owing to their hard work and dedication are a constant source of inspiration for all. Though the list of the richest people around the globe features people from different cultures and countries, one of the most intricate quality they share in common is the constant dedication and efforts they put in to achieve their status.
According to the Forbes list of Billionaires, the richest human on earth is Mexico based entrepreneur, Carlos Slim Helu. He is the CEO and Chairman of América Móvil which has been estimated to be around $74 Billion. Carlos has an engineering degree and has taught algebra and linear programming in the National Autonomous University of Mexico. The second place in the list belongs to one of the most well known person in the IT field, Bill Gates. His net worth is estimated to be $56 Billion by Forbes. Bill Gates owns the Microsoft conglomerate and does charity work through his Gates foundation. One of the Havard school's most successful dropout, Gates was the richest person in the world for 13 years in a row from 1995 to 2007 and also in 2009.
Warren Buffet, is the third richest man in the world with a net worth of $50 billion. He is the Chairman and CEO of Berkshire Hathaway, company that owns popular brands Kraft foods etc. French businessman, Bernard Arnault, Europe's richest man holds the fourth position in the world's richest list. He is CEO and chairman of a French multinational company that owns sixty brands. He is also a chairman of Christian Dior and has a net worth of $41 billion.
Founder of Oracle Corporation, Larry Ellison, has amassed wealth worth $39.5 billion by successful establishment of his company that deals in software products and allied businesses making him the fifth richest man in the world. Lakshmi Mittal holds the sixth place in the rich men list with an estimated wealth of $31.1 Billion. He owns the largest steel producing company in the world. Amancio Ortega is the seventh richest man in the world with an estimated wealth of $31 Billion. He is based in Spain and is a self made billionaire. Brazil based CEO of EBX Group, Eike Batista, hold the eighth spot in the riches list with an estimated wealth of $30 Billion. Indian business tycoon, Mukesh Amabani is MD and Chairman of Reliance Industries. He is the ninth richest man in the world. Li Ka-shing, a high school dropout, who was named Asia's Most Powerful Man in 2001 by Asia week, secured the tenth place in the riches list with a wealth of $26 Billion.
